2 Killed in Ward County Crash on FM 3398 near Mile Marker 353

Ward County, TX. - Two people were killed in a collision involving three vehicles on Saturday morning in Ward County.

The fatal crash happened on FM 3398 near mile marker 353 at around 7 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center line into the westbound lane.

A westbound Nissan Rogue swerved to avoid a head-on collision, left the roadway and struck a metal utility pole.

The Ford F-150 then collided with a Dodge Ram 1500 traveling westbound behind the Nissan. The Dodge spun out and overturned.

The driver of the Dodge and a passenger in the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Medical Center Hospital.

The driver of the Nissan was transported to Reeves County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
