3 People Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on East Freeway in Houston
Houston, TX – Three people were injured, one critically, after a vehicle reportedly went airborne and collided with another vehicle on Interstate 10 in Houston early Sunday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. on June 21 in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near the Waco Street exit.
According to police, a Ford Explorer was traveling on the freeway feeder road when the driver allegedly lost control. Witnesses reported that the SUV went airborne over an embankment, landed on the freeway, and struck another vehicle traveling on Interstate 10.
Two people in the vehicle that was hit were injured and were transported to a hospital. Authorities said their injuries were not considered life-threatening, and both are expected to recover.
The driver of the Ford Explorer was also hospitalized and was reported to be in critical condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
