3 Killed in Martin County Crash on IH-20 N. Service Rd
Martin County, TX. – A woman and two minors died in a head-on collision on Wednesday evening in Martin County.
The fatal crash occurred on IH-20 N. Service Road near mile marker 153 at around 4:45 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on the I-20 N service road when the driver failed to yield the right of way to a 2021 Lincoln Corsair attempting to enter the I-20 on-ramp. The two vehicles collided head-on.
The woman driving the Lincoln and her 14-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
A 16-year-old girl in the Lincoln was transported to Martin County Hospital, where she succumbed to injuries.
The driver of the Ford and one passenger sustained serious injuries, while a second passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
