5 Killed in Flint Car Accident on Highway 155 near FM 344
Flint, TX. – Five people, including a child, are dead following a car crash that occurred on Thursday morning in Flint.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on Highway 155 near FM 344 at around 8 a.m.
51-year-old Jonathan Ryal, of Tyler, was driving a white Toyota Highlander southbound when he crossed into the northbound lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a white Cadillac SUV driven by Rhanda Lacy, 60, of Crockett.
Both drivers were killed in the accident. Two passengers of the Cadillac were also killed in the accident. They were identified as:
Leshonda Shepherd, 41, of Crockett
Cynthia Donnell, 63, of Palestine
A four-year-old child in the Cadillac was transported to an East Texas hospital before being flown to a Dallas hospital where she later died from her injuries.
More information on the crash was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
