Six People, including Two Children, Killed in Hill County Head-On Crash
Hill County, TX – Six people, including two children, were killed and another child was injured in a head-on collision Saturday afternoon in Hill County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. on June 20, 2026, on State Highway 171 near Farm-to-Market Road 3155.
According to DPS, a northbound passenger car attempted to pass another vehicle and entered the opposing lane, where it collided head-on with a southbound van. Both vehicles caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.
As per the DPS, two people in the passenger car died in the crash. Two adults and two children traveling in the van also died in the crash. All six victims were pronounced dead at the scene. A third child who was riding in the van survived the crash and was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of their next of kin.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the deadly collision.
