Adam Frantz and Ashlee Frantz Killed in Smith County Crash on Mixon Road

Smith County, TX. – 38-year-old Adam Christopher Frantz, 38, and 34-year-old Ashlee Lann Frantz, both of Troup, have been identified as the couple that was killed in a head-on collision on Friday night in Troup, Smith County.

The fatal collision occurred on Mixon Road at around 6:30 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Adam Frantz was driving a 2018 Toyota Corolla northbound on Mixon when he crossed into the southbound lane of travel and collided head-on with an oncoming Mercedes-Benz driven by Daniel Massed.

Ashlee Lann Frantz was a passenger in the Toyota and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Adam was rushed to the hospital, where he died.

Daniel Massed was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

More information about the accident was not provided.

The Smith County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
