Alberto Juarez Killed in El Paso Car Accident at I-10 and Loop 375

El Paso, TX. - A 72-year-old man was killed in a crash involving a suspected intoxicated driver on Friday in El Paso.

According to the El Paso Police Department, the crash occurred on I-10 east at Loop 375 north at around 4:51 p.m.

Alberto Juarez was driving a red 2007 Toyota Yaris when he collided with a black 2026 GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by Julian Lujan.

Police say the pickup truck was traveling the wrong way prior to the collision.

Juarez was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Lujan was arrested and was charged with intoxicated manslaughter.

More details about the accident were not provided.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
