Alexis Jimenez Killed in Jones County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 83/277
Jones County, TX. - A 20-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday near Hawley in Jones County.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred on the Highway 83/277 frontage road at about 10:56 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Alexis Ivan Jimenez was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a 2013 Cadillac driven by a 16-year-old girl.
The man was transported to Anson General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at around 1:20 a.m. Friday.
More details on the accident were not provided.
The Jones County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
