Brianna Saucedo and Jonathan Tellez-Sosa Killed in Harlingen Crash on Texan Road and Freedom Avenue

Harlingen, TX. – 19-year-old Brianna Yatziri Saucedo, of Mission, and 25-year-old Jonathan Tellez-Sosa, of Penitas, have been identified as the two people who died in a head-on collision on Friday night in Harlingen.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred on Texan Road south of Freedom Avenue at around 9:26 p.m.

Jonathan was driving a blue Ford Fusion southbound on Texan Road when he collided head-on with a silver Chevrolet Malibu traveling northbound in the southbound lanes.

Jonathan and Brianna, who was a passenger in the Malibu, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Malibu and the male passenger of the Ford Fusion were transported to South Texas Health System McAllen in critical condition.

More details about the collision were not released.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
