Bryan Peinado Killed in Ward County Car Crash on I-20 near Mile Marker 51
Ward County, TX. – 20-year-old Bryan Alejandro Holguin Peinado has been identified as the man who died in a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday morning in Ward County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred on Interstate 20 near mile marker 51 at around 4:45 a.m.
53-year-old Enrique Fernandez Calderon was driving a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia westbound when the driver reportedly failed to control its speed and struck the rear of a 2016 Nissan Rogue that was being towed by another vehicle.
The crash caused a chain-reaction collision involving nine other cars. Several vehicles caught on fire after the crash.
A male passenger of a 2022 Ford F-250, 20-year-old Bryan Alejandro Holguin Peinado, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Calderon sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Reeves County Hospital for treatment.
Four other people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
More details on the crash were not provided.
