Clarissa Nunez and Diamantina Martinez Killed in Burleson County Crash at State Highway 36 and FM 60

Burleson County, TX. – Authorities have identified two people who died in a car crash on Sunday afternoon in Burleson County.

According to the Burleson County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at the intersection of State Highway 36 and FM 60 at around 2:15 p.m.

Clarissa Nunez ,43, was driving a Kia Optima on FM 60 and was attempting to make a left turn when she reportedly failed to yield the right of way and collided with a northbound 2020 Ford F-250.

Nunez and her passenger, 68-year-old Diamantina Martinez, were pronounced dead at the scene.

An 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy in the Kia sustained serious injuries and were taken to McLane Children's Hospital.

The driver of the Ford and two passengers in the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to St. Joseph Health.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
