Claudia Ramirez Killed in Jim Wells County Crash on State Highway 72

Jim Wells County, TX. - 21-year-old Claudia Alvarez Ramirez was killed in a two-vehicle crash that happened in Jim Wells County on August 2.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on State Highway 72 near Three Rivers.

A 2013 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on SH 72 at a high rate of speed when it struck a 2017 Ford F-250 that had stopped on the shoulder waiting to make a U-turn.

The impact pushed both vehicles into the eastbound lane of travel before coming to a stop.

Claudia was driving the Honda Accord and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, a 19-year-old man, was transported to Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.

More details on the accident were not available.
