Cody Cudd Killed in Wise County Crash on FM 51 near County Road 4797
Wise County, TX. – A 32-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Wise County on Saturday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on Farm to Market Road 51 near County Road 4797.
A northbound Toyota Camry had stopped at the scene waiting to make a left turn when a Chevrolet Silverado failed to control its speed and rear-ended the sedan.
The impact pushed the pickup truck into the southbound lane, where it collided with an oncoming Chrysler Pacifica.
Cody Cudd, a resident of Boyd, was driving the Toyota Camry and was taken to Medical City Decatur, where he later died from his injuries.
The 19-year-old driver of the Silverado and the 53-year-old driver of the Pacifica along with a 19-year-old passenger were injured and were taken to hospital for treatment.
More details on the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
