Construction Worker Killed in Houston Accident on Gulf Freeway near Dixie Farm Road
Houston, TX. - A construction worker died after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday night in Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident occurred along Gulf Freeway near Dixie Farm Road at around 11 p.m.
A construction worker was struck by a co-worker who was backing up a vehicle. According to the police, the driver used his mirrors while reversing, but because it was dark outside, the construction worker was run over.
The construction worker succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The identity of the worker was not disclosed.
Additional details concerning the accident were not provided.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
