David Johnson Killed after Crash on Highway 80 in Wood County
Wood County, TX – One person was killed on Sunday in a two-vehicle collision in Wood County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened on June 14 on Highway 80 about half a mile west of Mineola.
DPS said an 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound when it hydroplaned into the westbound lane and crashed into a passenger vehicle.
The 18-wheeler caught on fire after the collision.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, David Earl Johnson, 45, of Grand Saline, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further details were provided.
The troopers are investigating the collision.
