Elmo Nowlain and Andrew Starr Killed in Fisher County Car Crash at U.S. Highway 180 and FM 611
Fisher County, TX. - 80-year-old Elmo Hiram Nowlain and 39-year-old Andrew Joseph Starr have been identified as the two men who died in a car crash on Wednesday afternoon in Fisher County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 180 and FM 611 at around 4:17 p.m.
Elmo Nowlain was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck eastbound when he reportedly failed to yield the right of way and turned left into the path of a westbound Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 38-year-old Joseph Timothy Shults.
Nowlain and his passenger, Andrew, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Shults was taken to Fisher County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More information on the collision was not available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
