Emmy Trela Killed in Jasper Crash on Highway 63 near County Road 163
Jasper, TX. - 22-year-old Emmy Trela has been identified as the woman who died in a two-car accident in Jasper on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8 a.m. on Highway 63, near County Road 163.
An SUV was traveling west on Highway 63 when it slowed down to turn onto a side road and was rear-ended by a Dodge pickup truck.
Emmy, a resident of Tennessee resident who had recently moved to Jasper, was transported by ambulance to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Dodge, 18-year-old Matthew Bailey of Zavalla, was not injured.
More details on the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
