Fort Bend County, TX – Antonio Portillo and Teen Killed in Head-On Crash on U.S. Highway 90

Fort Bend County, TX – Two people were killed and a 10-year-old boy was injured a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 90 in Fort Bend County Tuesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deceased victims were identified as Antonio Portillo, a 66-year-old resident of Sealy, and a 16-year-old female East Bernard High School student.

The fatal crash occurred on September 1, on U.S. Highway 90 near FM 1952.

According to Texas DPS, a 2007 Freightliner was traveling eastbound on U.S. 90 when a westbound 2025 Honda sedan, operated by the 16-year-old girl, crossed into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with the truck.

The Freightliner driver, identified as 66-year-old Antonio Portillo of Sealy, was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen driver and her 10-year-old brother were injured and were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. The girl later died from her injuries at the hospital.

The circumstances that caused the Honda to cross into the eastbound lanes remain under investigation. No arrests were reported in the information provided.
