Taylor, TX. -  81-year-old James Killough has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Taylor on Friday morning.

At around 10:15 a.m., police reported to reports of a pedestrian accident at 305 Mallard Lane.

Killough, a resident of Taylor, was found unresponsive after being hit by a car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 43-year-old Jesse Jackson, of Spring, drove away from the scene and was later located, arrested and charged with murder.

More information on the accident was not available.

The Taylor Police Department is investigating the accident.
