Jenny Truong, 37, Hit and Killed on Washington Boulevard in Beaumont
Beaumont, TX – Authorities have identified the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Washington Boulevard in Beaumont, according to the Beaumont Police Department.
The victim was identified as 37-year-old Jenny Truong.
The pedestrian collision occurred shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, near Washington Boulevard and 8th Street, police said.
The Beaumont Police Department's Traffic Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene.
According to authorities, Truong was walking along the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle. Officers and emergency medical crews responded to the scene and found her injured.
Truong suffered serious injuries and was transported to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth Hospital where she later died.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and contacted the authorities.
Washington Boulevard was shut down between 6th and 8th streets while police and fire crews worked at the scene. The roadway was reopened at approximately 7:15 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released.
