Jose Portillo and Christopher Grado Killed in Midland Crash at FM 715 and CR 140

Midland, TX. – Authorities have identified two people who died in a car crash on Sunday evening in Midland.

The double-fatal crash occurred at the intersection of FM 715 and CR 140 at around 9:30 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A 2000 Chevrolet Colorado traveling westbound on CR 140 failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection and collided with a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado traveling northbound on FM 715.

The driver of the Colorado, Jose Ruiz Portillo, 66, and his passenger, Maria Angelica Beltran Mauricio, 60, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The male driver of Silverado,46-year-old Christopher Leigh Grado, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
