Juana Ojeda Killed in Kaufman County Crash on U.S. 80 and FM 460
Kaufman County, TX. - Juana Berenice Chavez Ojeda, 39, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday morning in Kaufman County.
According to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened on U.S. 80 at FM 460 at around 4:25 a.m.
Jaylin Maliq Chestnut, 25, was driving an Infiniti QX3 eastbound on U.S. 80 in the exit lane to FM 460 when the driver made an unsafe left lane change and hit Juana Ojeda, who was driving a Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on U.S. 80.
Ojeda lost control after the collision, and the Chevrolet struck a concrete barrier before rolling over.
Juana Ojeda was transported to the local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
An 8-month-old baby in the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
More details on the accident were not released by the officials.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
