Kolton Gochis Killed in Reeves County Car Crash on U.S. 285 and CR 302

Reeves County, TX. - A 26-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday evening in Reeves County.

The fatal crash happened on U.S. 285 at CR 302 near mile marker 367 at around 6:15 p.m., according to the Reeves County Sheriff's Office.

A Ford pickup truck was traveling on CR 302 and was attempting to merge onto US 285 when it collided with a 2006 Peterbilt with a trailer heading northbound on U.S. 285.

The Peterbilt was pushed into the southbound lane, where it collided with a southbound Chevrolet pickup truck.

The driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck, Kolton Gochis, was taken to Reeves Regional Health where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Peterbilt sustained serious injuries while the driver of the Ford F-250 and a passenger suffered minor injuries and were all transported to Reeves Regional Health.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
