Lamar Bear Killed in Moss Hill Motorcycle Accident at SH 105 and CR 2075

Moss Hill, TX. – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday night in Moss Hill, Liberty County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 9:07 p.m. at the intersection of SH 105 and CR 2075.

22-year-old Lamar Shelton Bear was riding a 2025 Yamaha sport motorcycle westbound on SH 105 when he crashed into an eastbound 2016 Dodge Ram pickup that was attempting to turn north onto CR 2075.

The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle and into a roadside ditch.

Bear was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, 19-year-old Walter Scott Whalin Jr., was not seriously injured.

DPS is investigating the accident.
