Luis Mendez Killed in Arlington Motorcycle Crash at Avenue E East and Duncan Perry Road

Arlington, TX. - Luis A. Mendez, 47, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died killed in a crash on Saturday night in Arlington.

The fatal crash occurred in the 3800 block of Avenue E East and Duncan Perry Road at around 9 p.m., according to the Arlington Police Department.

Mendez was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Avenue E when he crashed into a semi-truck that was attempting to turn left out of a parking lot onto Avenue E.

The man and his female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

Mendez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger was treated at the scene and released.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

No further details on the crash were provided.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
