Man Killed in Friona Crash at State Highway 86 and State Highway 214

Parmer County, TX. – A 59-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon near Friona in Parmer County.

According to the Parmer County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at the intersection of State Highway 86 and State Highway 214 at around 2 p.m.

Shayanne Marie Clover, 30, was driving a Ford Expedition eastbound on SH 86 when she reportedly failed to yield the right of way and collided with a 2019 Mack tractor-trailer traveling southbound on SH 214.

The Mack truck crossed over into the northbound lane and collided with a Freightliner truck driven by Timothy James Holst.

Holst succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Clover sustained serious injuries and was transported to Parmer County Community Hospital.

The driver of the Mack truck, Jose Omar Cano, 51, was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
