Man Killed in Odessa Motorcycle Accident at Huntington Avenue and West 26th Street

Odessa, TX. - A 43-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday in Odessa.

According to the Odessa Police Department, the accident occurred at Huntington Avenue and West 26th Street at around 6:30 p.m. on September 27.

A 2023 Dodge Charger traveling on West 26th Street when the driver failed to yield the right of way while turning into the northbound lanes of Huntington Avenue and collided head-on with a southbound motorcycle operated by Thomas Evans.

Evan was airlifted to Lubbock University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries on September 30.

Police say the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

More details on the accident were not released.

The Ector County Sheriff Office’s is investigating the crash.
