Martin Rangel Killed in Gaines County Crash on FM 2055 and FM 2056

Gaines County, TX. – 19-year-old Martin Alexander Gonzales Rangel was killed in a car crash that left four others injured on Tuesday night in Denver City, Gaines County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened near FM 2055 and FM 2056.

A westbound 2024 GMC Sierra reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and struck a 2012 Ford F-150 traveling north on FM 2055.

The impact caused the Ford F-150 to roll over.

19-year-old Martin Alexander Gonzales Rangel, a passenger in the Sierra, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sierra driver, 40-year-old Heriberto Gonzalez-Romero, and two passengers identified as 25-year-old Ruben Hernandez and 25-year-old Jaime Romero-Sanez, were injured and were taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Ford F-150, 27-year-old Jose Gonzalez, was taken to UMC in Lubbock with serious injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
