Off-Duty Officer Killed in Motorcycle Accident at FM 2502 and FM 2754 in Austin County
Austin County, TX. - An off-duty detention officer was killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon in Austin County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at FM 2502 and FM 2754 at around 1:05 p.m.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office off-duty detention officer, Anon Vaughn Hoffman, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he collided with a Volkswagen Atlas.
Hoffman, 21, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen and the 17-year-old passenger were transported to the hospital for evaluation.
More details on the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
