Raynaldo Garcia Killed in Robstown Crash at Farm to Market 2826 and County Road 77

Robstown, TX. – A man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Robstown on Thursday morning.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened around 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Farm to Market 2826 and County Road 77

Raynaldo Garcia, 22, was driving a 2023 Kia Sportage southbound on County Road 77 when he reportedly failed to stop at the intersection and struck a 2011 step tanker traveling west on FM 2826.

An eastbound 2003 Mercury SPG operated by a 76-year-old man sustained minor damage from the crash debris.

Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garcia’s 21-year-old passenger was transported to Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital in critical condition.

The 53-year-old driver of the Mack and the 76-year-old driver of the Mercury were not injured.

More details on the collision were not released.

The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Corpus Christi Highway Patrol Office are investigating the accident.
