Richard Harrell and Javier Mendoza Killed in Midland Motorcycle Accident at Midkiff Road and Park Lane
Midland, TX. – Two people were killed in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday night in Midland.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred at the intersection of Midkiff Road and Park Lane at around 11:38 p.m.
Javier Mendoza, 39, was riding a motorcycle northbound on Midkiff Road when he slammed into the back of a Ford F-250.
Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger on the motorcycle, 27-year-old Richard Harrell, was rushed to Midland Memorial, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities suspect speed contributed to the accident.
More details on the crash were not provided.
The Midland Police Department is investigating the accident.
