53-Year-Old Man Killed in DUI Crash in Katy; Suspect Charged with Intoxication Manslaughter

Fort Bend County, TX - A 53-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Katy early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The collision occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. in the 24300 block of Westheimer Parkway. Investigators said Sung Bae was driving a black Cadillac westbound when it was struck by a white BMW.

Bae suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver, identified as 20-year-old Dejon Fortune, was taken into custody following the crash. Authorities later charged him with felony intoxication manslaughter in connection with the fatal collision.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details have not yet been released
