Thomas Martinez Killed in Grand Prairie Car Accident on N.E 5th Street
Grand Prairie, TX. – Authorities have identified the man who died in a car crash that also claimed the life of a juvenile passenger on Wednesday afternoon in Grand Prairie.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened in the 500 block of N.E 5th Street at around 4:30 p.m.
Thomas Castro Martinez, 28, was driving a Chevrolet Suburban southbound at a high rate of speed when he struck the rear of a parked dump truck.
Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.
A juvenile passenger in the car was taken to the hospital, where they later died.
Two other passengers were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
More details on the collision were not released by the officials.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
