Fatal Crash on US Highway 287

Hardeman County, TX – Three people from Denver, Colorado, were killed in a head-on collision involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck early Sunday morning in Hardeman County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, along US Highway 287.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2016 Hyundai Sonata was traveling eastbound when, for some reason, it crossed into the westbound lane and entered the path of a 2023 Kenworth truck-tractor hauling a semi-trailer, resulting in a head-on collision.

The driver of the Hyundai, 27-year-old Eduyn Yohande Torrealba Evias of Denver, and his passengers, 33-year-old Yusney Alexeya Mora Mora and a 4-year-old child, also of Denver, were all pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Kenworth was not injured in the crash.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
