Toby Robbins Killed in Oldham County Crash on US 385
Oldham County, TX. - 47-year-old Toby Robbins was killed in a head-on collision that left five other people injured on Saturday night in Oldham County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened on US 385 south near the Hartley County line at around 11:40 p.m.
Robbins was driving a 2015 Nissan Armada towing a trailer heading southbound on US 385 when he collided head-on with a Volkswagen Atlas driven by 22-year-old Joaquin Soto.
The Volkswagen left the roadway and overturned.
Robbins was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
A 15-year-old male passenger of the Nissan was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Three passengers in the Nissan: Adam Copeland, 18, Christina Robbins, 46, and a 14-year-old girl, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital.
The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
