Lubbock, TX. – Two people, including a state trooper, were injured in a car crash on Friday night in Lubbock.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at 19th Street and University Avenue at around 11:17 p.m.
A patrol unit was pursuing a speeding vehicle southbound on University Avenue when it crossed the intersection and collided with a GMC Arcadia SUV traveling eastbound on 19th Street.
A trooper was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the GMC was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
A 2-year-old child in the GMC was not injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
