Vicki Windham Killed in Archer County Crash at U.S. Highway 281 and FM 1954

Archer County, TX. – 79-year-old Vicki Elaine Windham has been identified as the woman who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Monday evening in Archer County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and FM 1954 at around 6:35 p.m.

Windham was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Trax SUV westbound on FM 1954 when she entered the intersection and pulled out in front of a northbound semi towing a semi-trailer, leading to a collision.

The Trax and semi entered a ditch, while the trailer truck swung to the right and was hit by a Honda CRV.

Windham was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi and the CRV SUV were taken to United Regional with injuries.

The driver of the Equinox refused medical treatment.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
