William Martin Killed in Midland Bicycle Accident on County Road 1200 and County Road 117
Midland, TX. - 37-year-old William Thomas Martin has been identified as the bicyclist who died in a collision on Sunday, June 28, in Midland.
According to the Midland Police Department, the accident occurred in the area of County Road 12000 and County Road 117 at around 8:15 p.m.
Martin was riding a bicycle southbound on the west shoulder of CR 1200 when he was struck by a southbound pickup truck driven by a 15-year-old.
The bicyclist was transported to University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Ford driver and passenger were not injured.
More details about the collision were not provided.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
