Woman Killed in Castro County Crash on State Highway 194
Castro County, TX. – A woman was killed in a wrong-way crash on Tuesday morning near Hart in Castro County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on State Highway 194 near 194 at about 8:10 a.m.
A Ford Bronco was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of State Highway 194 when it collided head-on with a 2014 Western truck tractor towing a semitrailer.
The Ford burst into flames while the truck tractor and its towed semi-trailer went into a ditch and overturned.
The woman driving the Ford Bronco succumbed to her injuries.
The truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Plains Memorial Hospital.
The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
