Woman Killed in E-Bike Accident on South Lamar Boulevard in Austin
Austin, TX. - A 31-year-old woman died after being hit by a car as she rode an e-bike on Wednesday morning in Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, the accident occurred in the 1700 block of South Lamar Boulevard at around 9:33 a.m.
Celeste Garcia was riding an e-bike on South Lamar Boulevard when she was hit by a vehicle pulling a trailer.
Paramedics rushed Garcia to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Police do not suspect intoxication as a factor.
More details on the collision were not provided.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
