Woman Killed, Man Injured in Magnolia Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 149

Magnolia, Texas (June 25, 2020) – A woman was killed, and a man was injured Tuesday night in a head-on collision in Magnolia, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on June 23, on FM 149 between Jackson Road and Karen-Switch Road.

DPS said the woman was driving a blue 2005 GMC pickup truck southbound on the highway when she crossed the centerline in the rain and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet pickup truck.

Firefighters took about 45 minutes to extricate the woman from the GMC. She was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

A man in the Chevrolet was taken to HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe with a serious leg injury.

The crash closed FM 149 until 2:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
