Woman Pushing Shopping Cart Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Austin Highway in San Antonio 

53-Year-Old Woman Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Austin Highway

San Antonio, Texas (May 4, 2020) – A 53-year-old woman was killed Sunday night in a pedestrian accident in San Antonio’s Northeast Side, police said.

The deadly accident happened around 11:30 p.m. May 3, in the 1750 block of Austin Highway, near Bitter Blue Lane and Eisenhauer Road.

Police said the woman was pushing a shopping cart across the highway when she was hit by a 1996 black Ford Ranger pickup truck, which was traveling northeast.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

It was reportedly dark at the time of the accident, and the driver stopped and rendered aid after the accident.

An investigation is underway.
