30-Year-Old Woman Dies Months After Car Crash on Fannin Street in Houston

Houston, Texas – The seventh person, a 30-year-old woman, has died following a two-vehicle that happened last November in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The fatal crash happened around 2:00 a.m., November 11, 2023, at the intersection of Fannin Street and Pierce Street.

Police said Lauren Robinson, 32, was driving an Acura eastbound on Pierce Street while Christian Herrera, 25, was driving a Chrysler 300 southbound on Fannin Street. Herrera ran a red light and crashed into the Acura.

The Chrysler veered off the road and struck Frank Johnson, 31.

Three passengers were ejected from the Acura.

Robinson, Herrera, Johnson, and Izuchu Oragwu, 31, who was a passenger in the Acura, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Zachary McMillian, 32, and Derek Hayden, 33, were taken to a local hospital where they later died. They were passengers in the Acura.

Two other passengers in the Acura, a 32-year-old man and the 30-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital where the woman died on April 29. Her name has not been released. The man has since been released.

The police are investigating the crash.
