Haltom City, TX – One person was killed and another was injured Thursday evening in a fiery car accident in Haltom City, according to the police.
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on July 17 in the eastbound express lanes of Loop 820.
Police said a man in his 50s was driving a Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed. He tried to change lanes and rear-ended a trailer that was attached to a disabled work truck.
The Dodge driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The driver of the work truck sustained minor injuries in the accident. Two passengers outside the truck were uninjured in the accident.
The Haltom City police are investigating the accident.
