Houston, TX – One person was killed Sunday morning in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.
The fatal accident occurred around 6:50 a.m. on July 20 in the 10300 block of East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10).
Police said a white GMC Acadia was traveling eastbound when it struck a female pedestrian who was standing on the main lanes of the freeway.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.
The GMC driver remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The police are investigating the accident.
