The truck driver was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries

Amarillo, TX. – One person was airlifted to the hospital after being seriously injured in a car accident in Amarillo on Tuesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on US 287 near the Interstate 40 connector.
A truck and a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer were involved in the accident.
The truck driver was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
A passenger in the truck was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The driver of the semi was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
