Kaufman County, TX – One person was injured Friday evening in a truck collision in Kaufman County, according to the authorities.
The collision took place around 6:06 p.m. on August 15 on Interstate 20 near Hiram Road.
Authorities said an 18-wheeler cab caught fire and flames spread into the trailer at about 5:53 p.m.
Traffic backed up on the interstate as first responders worked on the fire, and the interstate was closed.
A secondary accident happened when a box truck pulling a trailer rear-ended another 18-wheeler as it slowed down due to the closure.
One person was taken to a Dallas hospital for treatment.
I-20 was closed until 7:40 p.m.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
