The motorcyclist was flown to a Tyler hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries

Lufkin, TX. – A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after being injured in a car accident on Saturday in Lufkin.
According to the police, the motorcycle accident happened in the 1600 block of West Frank Street at around 12:45 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a gray 2015 Honda Pilot had been facing west when it began making a left-hand turn from the middle lane into a parking lot.
The driver saw a motorcycle approaching in the eastbound lane and stopped. The motorcyclist attempted to swerve, but crashed into the back passenger side of the Honda.
The motorcyclist was flown to a Tyler hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
