Edinburg, TX. – A 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Tuesday night in Edinburg.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred at Brushline Road and Davis Road at around 9:16 p.m.

A 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle operated by 33-year-old Victor Torres was heading north on Brushline at a high rate of speed after failing to pull over for a traffic violation.

The man attempted to pass a 2006 International dump truck and turn left into a home, but collided with the vehicle.

The man was ejected from the motorcycle and was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
