The occupants of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Houston, TX. – A driver died in a violent collision after fleeing a traffic stop in Houston on Sunday night.
According to the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division, the accident happened at the intersection of Fondren Road and Westheimer Road.
Officers reportedly attempted to stop a motorist but the driver failed to stop and sped away, running several red lights before crashing into another car at the intersection.
The suspect’s car caught fire after the collision, trapping the driver.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
